May 2026 Overview

Mercury will be moving very fast and complete transits in both Taurus and Gemini, its home sign. On average it takes about 3 weeks to go through one zodiac sign however due to the elliptical shape of its orbit (just like the rest of the planets), there are times when those transits will be shorter or longer. This is one of those times when it will be shorter and we’ll be seeing Mercury spend only two weeks in each sign. This speed will lend itself to helping us make quick decisions rather than ruminating and prepping us to think on our feet more.

On the entrepreneurial side, this may bring a shift in consumer market sensibilities away from sticking with the tried and true to being more open to see what else is out there. The second half of the month would be a great time to reintroduce your business to generate warm leads or sales depending on your goals. Or you could feature new/exclusive deals to your existing clientele to put your business top of mind as well as generate revenue. Either way these transits are short-lived so get what you can and move on.

The Sun will be making beneficial aspects to every planet except Mars and Saturn. You might see boosts in money, emotional maturity, creativity, and networking. These additional benefits won’t be found around self esteem, managing aggression, or issues around contract enforcement.

On the entrepreneurial side, the first half of the month could remain a difficult time for those who have invoice-based businesses (or at least a significant revenue source based on invoices) as you might not see much progress on getting the terms to be fulfilled by all parties involved. However, I do think things will turn the corner once we get to the end of the month with the shift into Gemini season and Uranus officially entering Gemini. Outside of that marketing efforts can see more of a return on investment especially when speaking directly to what clients are looking for (rather than what you think they want), a boost in solution-based strategy development, and simplifying tech workflows.

Pluto goes retrograde in Aquarius and will last through the first half of October. This ushers in a time of heightened perception and inquiry on where alignment lies between purported values and action for individuals, groups, and institutions. This may induce a shift between alliances or strengthening of existing ones. This will also provide a time to reevaluate strategy and tactics based on successes and failures from the first 3 months of the year in order to have success in Q4. (Politically in the U.S. this will most likely show up as an increase of maneuvers on both sides to try to win the midterms in November.)

On the entrepreneurial side, we may see a reckoning on the usefulness and lack thereof from emerging technologies. Has there been a value add or are there hidden costs that outweighs benefits? Necessity will force simplicity, training, disuse, and/or consolidation in order to remain profitable and adaptable in volatile markets.

Aries Moon Cycle (April 17th - May 15th)

The Aries cycle provides us the opportunity to become intimately aware of our instinctual nature. If you’ve ever wondered or struggled with the nature of your intuition, then this cycle will make it directly apparent to you. This journey will reinforce the relationship you have with your soul & your body which are continually perceiving and sending information about the environment and what you’re encountering. The information is there to support your ability to make informed decisions about the actions to take. Know that feeling ‘off’ or defensive or any other negative emotion when dealing with a person, place, or situation is not baseless, rather it is rooted in external cues and internal assessment. The same holds true for feelings of flow, peace, and easy vulnerability. When you operate in a healthy relationship with your intuition, you live an authentic life. This is your power and what the archetype of Aries holds in remembrance.

Taurus Moon Cycle (May 16th - June 13th)

The archetype of Taurus represents our physical bodies, Nature, material possessions, activities or things that bring pleasure, and money. In true Taurus fashion, this smorgasbord of options is available for us to explore what we can do to create an experience of abundance. Restriction isn’t a ‘thing’ for Taurus so don’t approach this cycle from an either/or perspective, e.g. I can either focus on this or that. Rather, address it all! Wear (or purchase) clothing that feels luxurious/or and conveys luxury. Get the most delicious dish at that restaurant. Use decadent creams and oils on your body; wear the expensive fragrance. Start a garden. Spend time at the park. Upgrade your stuff - phone, laptop, shoes…. Get a massage. And don’t forget to put some of the extra money away into your savings (liquid assets).

Mercury in Taurus (May 2nd - May 16th)

Personal Insight

Mercury in Taurus helps us take all those vibrant and creative ideas that we were inspired by throughout the Aries transit and helps us figure out how to bring them into reality. Practical action becomes easy to plan out with consideration for the time, energy, and resources needed. Circle back to those areas where you have already determined are ripe for long-term investment, but also be sure to explore fully all the creativity as well as that which will keep you balanced over time. You will also find that Mercury in Taurus drastically improves your self-esteem and increases the desire to feel good and look good.

Business Insight

Mercury in Taurus is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, it provides a keen eye for determining ways to increase revenue or even new business opportunities. This can be incredibly useful if the past few months (or year) have been difficult. On the other hand, this transit can amplify the behavior of being set in your ways or being unwilling to change or take calculated risks that would benefit the business in the long-term. It could also compel you to spend more money on the business; while this isn’t negative on its own, you must weigh the cost vs return on investment. Would the cost DIRECTLY drive revenue? If you’re not already making your financial goals, then wait for another time if the answer is no. If you are making your goals, then go ahead and spend the money!

Mercury in Gemini (May 17th - May 31st)

Personal Insight

Mercury transiting Gemini is a ‘home’ journey as this is one of the signs that Mercury rules. This transit can spark a flurry of activity ranging from conversations, collaborations, brainstorming, strategy, and writing. This is poised to be a fruitful time, however make sure you have enough available to sink your teeth into or you’ll get frustrated. Temper your expectations for what can be launched or completed quickly. This is also a great time to learn new things or focus on developing skill(s) in an area. You’ll find your ability to assimilate information and implement action can flow easily.

Business Insight

Mercury in Gemini supports clarity of communication within the business as well as the generation of content for marketing, blogs, advertisements, etc that nurtures the market being served (which ultimately leads to revenue increases). If there’s been tedious (yet still very important) work that you’ve been putting off, then use this transit to cross it off the to-do list--or delegate the work to someone else and pay them well. Training within small group settings yields benefits as well.

Venus in Gemini (April 23rd - May 17th)

Personal Insight

Venus in Gemini brings attention to our platonic relationships. Examples of this would be our local community and friends, siblings and cousins, and coworkers. Expect there to be strengthening of existing, healthy relationships, healing for unhealthy ones (which may or may not mean they remain intact), and a reconsideration and/or expansion of what we consider to be Community overall. Unhealthy relationships will be asked to adjust into greater interdependence and open-heartedness. This is a focus on “we” (i.e. what benefits all) and less on “me” (i.e. what do I get out of it) - but of course, “me” is still included in “we”.

Business Insight

Venus in Gemini is the best transit for selling via all forms of communication: sales calls, DMs, newsletters, ads, billboards… you name it! If you have any scheduled marketing strategy that is being deployed for a new product or service, then you can expect to see nice strong sales. If you don’t have anything ‘new’ to introduce to your market, then take this transit to reinforce the best of what you offer. Those who communicate regularly and intelligently (remember - your audience is sophisticated) will have increased revenue while those who choose not to take up space will see a decrease!

Venus in Cancer (May 18th - June 12th)

Personal Insight

Venus in Cancer is truly about reveling in love--both of self and with another (whether personal or professional). This transit reminds us that relationships have a natural flow that should be easy and pleasurable… yes, even in business. While Venus’ journey through Gemini is centered more on small group connections, this journey is more intimate. The focus shifts to the quality of the relationship with one person. If there is a healthy interdependence, the flow will increase; if not, then Venus provides an opportunity to find common ground… but only IF the fundamental values of both parties are the same.

Business Insight

Venus in Cancer can support your business when your in-house efforts are centered on cultivating ‘feminine wisdom’ when making decisions, planning for the future, fleshing out schedules, and in the way communication happens. For external endeavors, focus on tailoring your marketing around home & housing, family, food, mental health, etc. You may even want to see how your product or service can pair nicely with another business involved in interior design, teaching, raising children, maternity care, food, home construction, DIYers, crafting, and the like.

Mars in Aries (April 9th - May 17th)

Personal Insight

Mars in Aries highlights our relationship to Instinct. There are two ways that we experience instinct: primal and soul. The primal instinct is inherent to our physical body consciousness which is interconnected with the instinctual nature of our fellow mammals. We are not separate from our animal family (we're literally a member of the Animal Kingdom) and as such, the clarity and purity of the primary drivers of Life are our inheritance. Give thanks. But as deeply "self-reflective" animals (i.e. humans), we can also become aware of our soul instinct. This is our Higher Mind which is the gatekeeper to Choice who provides us the options of "react" and "respond" among others. With this choice comes the awareness of Time and the consequences of our actions beyond what is happening in the immediate moment. Mars in Aries shows us how we're using our power.

Business Insight

Mars in Aries asks you to tighten up how your business presents its brand in the market. This is the time to bring coherent messaging, images, colors, fonts, etc across all platforms and offerings. The longer your business exists, the more curated and specific the brand should be until eventually it becomes its own pillar in the industry. There are also times when you need to be more 'polarizing', i.e. differentiate yourself from the crowd. That time may be now if you find that you're losing traction.

Mars in Taurus (May 18th - June 27th)

Personal Insight

Mars in Taurus is extremely supportive for our physical health, overall vitality, and sex drive. It also supports increased motivation to accumulate wealth and resources as well as achieving your goals. Sensuality and sex are important so engage with them more than you normally do (whether alone or with another). Actively make space for sensuality and sexual expression even in the midst of external circumstances. That primal power--your sacral energy--is a gift from Mother God to support your creations. Use it wisely.

Business Insight

Mars in Taurus pushes you to actively sell those offerings that are strong performers for the business in driving revenue. This is not a transit to be shy or back away from taking up (frequent!) space in the marketing & advertising. That which is already tried and true within the business will have the strongest success rather than trying to push something new during this time. Periodically reminding your market of what you are known for is necessary and this is the transit that will show you the benefits of doing so unapologetically.
