September 2025 Overview

Welcome to eclipse season and one of the busiest astrological months of the year!

For me, the nodal transits and the corresponding eclipses are the most important astrological (and natural) occurrences for us to pay attention to, not only for our own personal development, but also for underlying aspects in group dynamics. The new moon solar eclipse is typically in the same zodiac sign as the north node and it indicates the beginning of a period of time (approximately 6 months) where resistance or obstacles in pursuit of goals are reduced. This can give the sense that opportunities are increasing. The full moon lunar eclipse is typically in the same zodiac sign as the south node and it indicates the ending of a time where you are repeating the rewards of your efforts (if any) as well as preparing to begin again. Often this can give a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction of how far one has come.

The lunar eclipse on the full moon September 7th at Pisces 15° marks the completion of the 6 month cycle that began with the solar eclipse in March at Aries 9°. Wherever that March eclipse was located in your chart reveals the area that provided the most opportunity to grow and improve. With the full moon this month, you can look back and see how things turned out for you given your efforts and what you encountered.

A new 6 month cycle begins with the solar eclipse on September 21st at Virgo 29°. What's interesting about this eclipse is that it's aligned with the south node. The south node is the “destroyer” and works to uproot and remove blocks to forward momentum. Ultimately, this means for the next 6 months you can expect unresolved issues associated with the house where this eclipse occurs to emerge. You'll have to deal with them now if you don't want them to continue to plague you in the future. It would be helpful to consider the areas of life associated with that house in your natal chart, especially the ones where you think you're “over it”, so you can prepare to face them head on. This cycle will conclude with the lunar eclipse on March 3, 2026 in Virgo.

Of course, there are other big shifts happening this month:

  • Saturn continues its retrograde slipping back into Pisces which gives us more time to face our delusions and put in the work to make our dreams manifest.

  • Mercury returns to its home sign of Virgo allowing us a reprieve from its recent retrograde journey.

  • Uranus stations retrograde in Gemini which affords us the chance to review the influence of this planetary transit on our lives before the cycle officially begins next year.

  • And Mars returns to its home sign of Scorpio grounding us in a more mature use of power as we head into the holiday season.

We're also officially coming to the start of the spiritual new year which kicks off with the Autumn Equinox. This equinox will be extra special because it is bookended by the solar eclipse AND a grand air trine between the Sun in Libra, Uranus in Gemini, and Pluto in Aquarius. Uranus and Pluto have been in a trine since the first new moon in Virgo around August 23rd (which is also when the 30 Days of Meditation journey began). But now the Sun will be joining the conversation on September 23rd to create the grand trine, which kicks off the High Holy Days of the Jewish calendar. A beautiful time to commune with Spirit/Divine Consciousness as well as create!

Lastly, I'm excited to announce the annual Spiritual New Year event for 2026 will be held on Saturday, September 20th at 10am PT. Topics will include:

September 2025 Astrology Insights

Working with the moon cycle

Every moon cycle can be divided into 4 phases:

  1. New moon - Use these first 7 days to rest more by keeping your schedule light and prioritize extra time with Spirit.

  2. Waxing moon - Over these 7 days you’ll notice that your motivation and momentum increases. Take action in pursuit of your goals!

  3. Full moon - These 7 days will give you peak energy and drive. This is great for social activities like events, meetings, etc.

  4. Waning moon - These final 7 days are best for knocking out the  “To Do” list and strategizing.

Virgo Moon Cycle

The archetype of Virgo centers on improving upon ourselves, our gifts & talents, our skills, and our work/service. At the highest level this speaks to self & spiritual mastery and is the natural progression out of the archetype of Leo. How can you make the most out of that which is unique to you? Which of your creative explorations require more education or skill development and what is simply to be for fun? This cycle requires more from us than simply getting by on luck or charm or raw talent. We have an opportunity to cultivate discipline and set ourselves up for success. This cycle is also very supportive for improving physical wellness!

Working with the personal planets

Mercury is associated with our mind, skills, communication, & commerce/markets

Venus is associated with our values, money, possessions, and love

Mars is associated with our ambition, physical energy, and will

Mercury in Virgo (September 2nd - September 17th)

Personal Insight

Mercury in Virgo is a beneficial transit as this is one of the home signs for Mercury. During this time we are encouraged to take action on the things we say we want in a step-by-step manner. Not everything requires the same amount of attention or investment and so we can use this transit to discern the difference between that which is ‘fun’ for us and that which requires cultivation over time. We only have 100% to work with at any given time so if you notice that something is not moving forward in the way you’d prefer, then take a step back and see how your time and energy is being divided between different things. If in fact you’re only giving 30% to something that you say is important, then you can’t expect it to bear fruit in the same way it might for someone investing 70%-80%. (Take the medicine. LOL!)

Business Insight

Mercury in Virgo is a great transit for analyzing and strategizing as well as taking stock of what systems & processes can get streamlined or tightened up in your business. You’re poised to make any necessary adjustments and maintain a perspective based on facts instead of your emotions. If you are someone who struggles with structure and planning far in advance, then do your utmost to lean into the support of this transit to knock out as much of this type of work as possible. If you are someone who tends to go down the rabbit hole of constantly ‘fixing’, then use the exacting nature of this transit to assess if what you’re doing DIRECTLY moves your goals forward (and if it doesn’t, then fall back).

Mercury in Libra (September 18th - October 5th)

Personal Insight

Mercury in Libra signals a time of important conversations with those key relationships in your life: romantic partners and business partners. What are the long-term goals? Are you in alignment? What needs to change? How much farther into the future does the perspective need to shift? It’s important to talk about the hard things while the stakes aren’t high. It will be important to face the subconscious bias and fears that are factoring into the dynamics of these relationships. As always we can only effectively negotiate and create the best possible outcome when we are being honest about our needs and wants. (Note: the “best possible outcome” does not mean that the relationship will remain in place… the best outcome might be for someone to walk away.)

Business Insight

Mercury in Libra can be a great time to review and/or implement contracts, disclosures, legal documents, and the like. Does anything need to be adjusted based on the goals you’ve set for the business? Maybe it’s time to consider different business structures - sole proprietorship, LLC, Corp? Have you considered how you will address certain challenges should they arise such as client disputes, trademark infringement, etc? Now is a good time to think about that and put different plans in place. You can also use this transit to search for legal counsel to have on deck or circle back around to existing counsel for any pressing issues.

Venus in Leo (August 25th - September 18th)

Personal Insight

Venus in Leo encourages us to turn on the charm! This transit amplifies our inherent magnetism or that “It” factor to the areas of life where Leo resides in your natal chart. This is not a shy energy so expect yourself to feel comfortable shining one-on-one or in a group setting, even if that’s not your normal way of being. Venus in Leo brings out qualities of independence, loyalty, expectation of recognition, and feel good vibes. The more you lean into embodying these characteristics, the more the benefits of Venus will bring. Plus, it will be fun!

Business Insight

Venus in Leo shines a light on the CEO and asks them to do what is necessary to make sure that they are presenting confidence, courage, and passion in their role. If you are one who is shy or has trouble being seen, then use this transit to invite support to train yourself through these internal challenges. Who and what do you have in place to be your best self? When was the last time you invested in leadership development? The business needs a different part of you than what you would give in your personal life. Set yourself up for success!

Venus in Virgo (September 19th - October 12th)

Personal Insight

Venus in Virgo reminds us to enjoy a good life filled with quality people, things, and experiences, but also the importance of keeping some of who we are to ourselves. Access to our inner world is not to be given lightly under the discerning eye of the Virgo archetype. For that matter confidence in oneself regardless of external validation is the standard. Our character development takes center stage as well as our commitment to our work and our purpose. Venus in Virgo represents the pinnacle of healthy independence spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. It is from this place that we can enter into healthy interdependent relationships.

Business Insight

Venus transiting Virgo supports investing in processes and systems that continue to support growth. This investment can be towards the refinement of what’s already in place or an upgrade to something better, more technologically advanced, and/or which streamlines multiple workflows. This could also look like training for the improvement of certain skills in areas such as sales, leadership development, marketing, etc. Quality over quantity is the name of the game here so any decisions that are to be made shouldn’t be risky but rather well-researched.

Mars in Libra (August 6th - September 21st)

Personal Insight

Mars in Libra invites us to explore our acts of love towards others and our diplomacy skills. This transit seeks the highest standard in partnership - connection with another who is ‘equally yoked’. Mars in Libra understands that we only get so far on our own and will block our efforts if we are cultivating relationships with people who can’t keep up with us. Aloneness is preferred over association when character/action/mastery isn’t aligned.

Business Insight

Mars in Libra jumpstarts our drive to go after establishing new relationships and collaborations with other businesses that have a similar or complementary vision. This is less about larger group networking and instead focusing on key connections with one or two people at a time. A great use of this time would be to circle back around to folks who you’ve met at events much earlier. Where are you now? Is there an opportunity to work together on something? Is someone able to be a bridge to another person?

Mars in Scorpio (September 22nd - November 3rd)

Personal Insight

Mars in Scorpio is a “no-nonsense” transit! You will be shown where you create obstacles and suffering for yourself due to second-guessing what God already told you to do or delaying action because of a ‘well-meaning’ defense. Radical ownership of going after what you want is the name of the game when Mars has access to the immense power of Scorpio. The capacity at which you utilize your own personal power--whether too little or too much--will be very apparent. Is it time to step up or fall back?

Business Insight

Mars transiting Scorpio highlights the importance of paying down debts (or leveraging debt), keeping up to date with taxes, and taking action on investments that can prove beneficial to the business, directly or indirectly. This is not a time for rash decision-making; instead use this transit to take a step back and assess what your next financial goal is and what it will take to achieve it. In some cases you will have to work more, in others you may have to streamline and cut costs/products/services, or possibly introduce new ways of generating revenue. (Most likely you’ll have to do a combination of all of these things!)
